Marbella Flavours

We took the “Tapas” tour on March 15, 2025 and we had an amazing experience. Michel, our tour guide, was so nice and so knowledgeable about the Spanish history, Marbella and its surrounding small towns.

The food and wine, which were very diverse and plentiful, were delicious. Taste Marbella contacted us in advance to enquire about any dietary requirements we may have. I did and Michel ensured that I could eat with a peace of mind. As an aside, I discovered that I like goat cheese! It tastes so much better than the one we can get in Canada.

This is truly a 5* experience in all aspects. I am so pleased with this tour and the company that runs it. Well done Taste Marbella!

Our group of 16 had a wonderful food tour with Michel. The places we stopped to eat were all excellent and very interesting and Michel was a fantastic guide! We would highly recommend.

So fun! We loved our Original Marbella Tapas Adventure with our guide Michel (not sure of spelling, a gentleman originally from Amsterdam 20years ago).

Michel spoke great English, and was very knowledgeable of Marbella and the different restaurants we went to. It was my husband and I and our 27 year old daughter, who got the nickname “Nerdy Notetaker”😅, as she was constantly typing everything she was hearing from Michel into her phone. She loved it so much and wanted to remember EVERYTHING.

I would recommend my friends visiting Marbella to take this tour for sure!

Very fun evening

Michel started off the tour with an interesting ice breaker question. The three stops on the tour were bridged by stories of Marbella’s and Andalusian history and their evolution. The first stop included delicious tapas appetizers, enjoyed by even the non-adventurous members of the group. The next tapas bar stop presented tasty meat and cheeses from the area as well as a choice of Spanish wines. The last stop included a sampling of paella and seafood tapas. Overall the Tapas Tour exceeded our expectations!

Tapas Tour with Good Local History

Michel made our family tour a memorable trip. We tried different types of Spanish cuisine. Michel was very knowledgable and told us many fascinating stories about the history of the area and the food we ate. It was only a small group and this gave us an opportunity to bond with the guide and personalise the trip.

As one of our party is hoping to become a tour guide, Michel provided valuable insight in what it’s like to be a guide and gave us tips on how to give outstanding customer support as well delivering great storytelling.

Michel was simply the best. He made each place we visited extra special and he filled up our walk to each food stop with a terrific conversation. We highly recommend Michel for a Marbella food & wine tour.
